SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

SANITATION IS ONE OF THE MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE GRAM PANCHAYAT, BESIDES SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT IS ONE OF THE BEST PRACTICE TO RECYCLE THE WASTE.

OUT OF 925 GRAM PANCHAYATS, ALREADY 72 GRAM PANCHAYATS ARE BEEING IMPLEMENTING THE SCHEME OF SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT. NEALY 70,000 KGS OF VERMI COMPOST IS BEING PRODUCED BY RECYCLING THE HOUSEHOLD WASTE COLLECTED BY THE GRAM PANCHAYAT BY GOING DOOR TO DOOR.

LED PROJECT

GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH HAD DECIDED TO CONVERT THE STREET LIGHTS TO LEDS. AS FOR AS THIS DISTRICT IS CONCERNED, THE SAID PROJECT WAS ENTRUSTED TO NREDCAP.

Out OF 925 GRAM PANCHAYATS, 37565 LEDS WERE RETROFITTED IN 201GRAM PANCHAYATS
