ANIMAL HUSBANDRY DEPARTMENT  –   SEASONAL CONDITIONS  –  REMIDAL MEASURES:

1. Buildings: Due to heavy rains from June 2010, 14 buildings were damaged. Hence an amount of Rs.44.00 lakhs is required for immediate repairs.
2. Drugs and Medicines:In view of heavy rains there may be probability of more disease and injuries  to animals  .  It requires Essential Drugs immediately.  Last year 3^rd and 4^th Qtr. Funds towards Drugs and Medicines were not released.  Hence an amount of Rs.20 lakhs is very much required to provide essential drugs immediately.
3. Fodder Development:In view of heavy rains  there is a possibility for shortage of Dry Fodder due to decomposition and  washing out in floods.  Hence an amount of Rs.10 lakhs is required  to provide  Dry Fodder if contingency arises.
