VMRDA – Engineering WING

VMRDA has taken up development of Master Plan and other important roads in a big way during the last two to three years to open up new areas and for better   connectivity in VMR area and extended limits of VMRDA i.e., in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts along with regular infrastructure development works.

IMPORTANT RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS:

  1. World Telugu Museum at Kailasagiri – 1250 Lakhs
    • Extent : Ac.5.00 Cts.
    • Plinth Area : 18000 Sft.
    • Inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 19.11.2015
    • The WTF attended interiors such as Episodes / FRP murals, Lighting Sound system and Revolving Dias with seating arrangements etc.
    • Museum Building constructed including Air Conditioning and other amenities.
  2. Health Arena at Kailasagiri – Rs.730 Lakhs
    • Jogging track with earth surface: 5.50 to 7.00 M wide and 2.10 KM long
    • Cycling track with BT surface: 4.50M wide and 2.10Km long.
    • Bare foot walking track
    • Buddha Vanam (Meditation & Yoga centre) – Inaugurated on 12.1.2016.
    • Gym, Aerobics and Martial Arts, Entrance Plaza, Ticket counters, Bicycle stand
    • Entrance Arches at Appughar and Hanumanthawaka junctions
    • Public conveniences, Drinking Water & Parking facilities.
    • Meditation Centre, Central lighting with LED fixtures in between tracks
  3. Beautification of Airport & Horticulture – Rs.6.94 Lakhs
    • VUDA has taken up and completed the Development of Beautification and Landscaping at Visakhapatnam Airport in view of the proposed International Fleet Review held in the month of Feb, 2016 as per the instructions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of A.P and District Collector, Visakhapatnam.
    • The cost of expenditure for the works is Rs. 6.94 Lakhs.
  4. City Central Park, Visakhapatnam – Rs.3500Lakhs
    • The total extent of area is Acs.20.0 Cts.
    • Project cost is Rs.35.0 Crores
    • Amenities are musical fountain, Central Plaza, Fountain, Amusement Water Park, Topiary & Bonsai Garden, Yoga Hall, Food Court, Flower (Rose) Garden, Event Lawn, Amphi Theatre, Children Play Area, Entrance Plaza & Administration Building, Pathways, External Jogging Track & Bicycle Track.
    • Inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 14.09.2016.
  5. Developments and repairs of Padmapuram Gardens at Aruku – Rs.75 Lakhs
    • Landscaping and Greenery.
  6. Construction of Shopping Complex at Seethammadhara, Visakhapatnam – Rs.1302 Lakhs
    • 2 Cellars + Ground + 3 Floors
    • Shops and Offices.
    • 2nd & 3rd floor occupied by IT companies.
    • Project cost is Rs.13.02 crores.
  7. Children Arena, Siripuram, Visakhapatnam – Rs.2216 Lakhs
    • Extent : Ac.2.00 Cts.
    • Plinth Area : 2000 Sq.Mtrs (Ground + 1st Floor = 4000 Sq.Mtrs).
    • Ground Floor : Multipurpose Auditorium seating capacity – 400 Nos
    • Theater First Floor : Seating capacity of 600 Nos.
    • Inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 17-12-2016.
  8. Construction of Shopping Complex at Sector-VII, MVP Colony – Rs.515 Lakhs
    • Basement + Ground + 3 Floors
    • Total office space – 15780 sft
    • Total Built up area -44007 Sft
    • Project cost is Rs.5.15 crores.
  9. Indoor Stadium at Bheemili – Rs.332Lakhs
    • Site area is Ac.2.00 Cts.
    • Total floor area of Indoor Stadium is 9340 Sft,
    • Seating capacity is 900 Nos.
    • Project cost is Rs.3.36 Cr.
  10. Development of Pandurangapuram (JV), Visakhapatnam
    • Path ways, Gardens, Gym & Landscaping etc.
  11. Development of Parameswari Park at Anakapalli – Rs.200Lakhs
    • Parameswari Park including Gym building at Anakapalli.
    • Total Extent : Ac1.75 Cts.
    • Path ways, Gardens, Gym & Landscaping .
    • Total project cost is Rs.200Lakhs.

FUTURE PROJECTS

  1. Development of Mudasarlova Park, Visakhapatnam:
    • VMRDA proposed to develop MUDASARLOVA PARK as International Tourist Destination in Visakhapatnam.
    • The development will encompass the existing natural resources and landscape with a design of high quality with an innovative approach based on self-sustainable solutions.
    • Area to be developed is Ac.20 along-with reservoir.
    • Project Cost Rs.15 Cr.
    • The proposals are under process. APUGC is the line department to finalize the designs.
    • Joint Meeting of Andhra Pradesh Urban Green & Beautification Corporation & the Metropolitan Commissioner, VMRDA held on 3-11-2017 O/o.VMRDA Building, 9th Floor, Visakhapatnam.
    • Detailed scope of work & consultancy fee furnished by the consultant, M/s.DESIGN ACCORD, New Delhi are to be finalised.
  2. Comprehensive Integrated world class Tourism Museum at Beach Road.
    • The proposals are under preparation to make an Integrated world class Museum with War Memorial, Sub marine, Rajiv Smruthi, AU Convention Hall & TU -142 Air craft.
